The upgrade will bring new dining and retail concepts to the marvellous mall.

Dubai isn’t short on malls. But with more and more people flocking to the emirate, the city’s retail favourites are stepping up their game. Dubai Mall had earlier announced expansion plans and now, Mall of the Emirates is getting an upgrade.

Mall of the Emirates is gearing up for a massive transformation, thanks to an AED 5 billion investment by Majid Al Futtaim. This expansion will bring 20,000 square metres of new retail space featuring 100 stores. But it’s not just about shopping. The revamp will also introduce the SEVEN Wellness Club, which is set to offer premium fitness and spa experiences inside the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates

This year, the New Covent Garden cultural hub will be launched, which has been developed in partnership with the Dubai Performing Arts Academy. It will feature a 600-seat theatre and rehearsal spaces, making it a perfect addition, considering the mall previously hosted plenty of theatre shows.

Even the dining at Mall of the Emirates will get an upgrade. A new dining precinct is on the way, and it will be the mall’s first-ever outdoor destination where you can indulge in delicious bites. Set to open in early 2027, you can expect a mix of eateries here.

The entertainment offerings are also getting elevated. By 2026, four brand-new entertainment concepts will debut at the Mall of the Emirates. One of these will be the IMAX experience, which has already been launched at the mall’s VOX Cinemas. A social hub is also on the agenda.

With these changes rolling out gradually over the next few years, Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates is poised to evolve into a complete lifestyle destination. With new concepts and experiences, it’s only going to get bigger, better — and busier.

We’ll see you there.
