The property marks the SLS brand’s debut in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia is transforming, and many ambitious development projects are reshaping its tourism and hospitality landscape. Among these, The Red Sea Project often makes headlines. Touted as the Maldives of the Middle East, this ambitious regenerative development covers 28,000 square kilometres on Saudi Arabia’s west coast, comprising several luxury resorts, one of which is SLS The Red Sea.
SLS The Red Sea occupies a prime spot on Shura Island. Having opened late last year, it’s backed by Ennismore. The resort is designed to blend into its surroundings while offering unmatched comfort and sophistication. Designed by Foster + Partners, the single-storey property embodies a “coral bloom” concept, drawing inspiration directly from nature. Featuring a pattern of earthy tones, it creates a harmonious backdrop that sets the stage for an unparalleled luxury experience by the sea.

Rooms & Suites
The resort features 150 rooms, suites, and villas, including 15 signature pool villas designed for privacy and indulgence. Days revolve around a pristine white-sand beach and a see-and-be-seen pool scene, backed by five restaurants and bars, a luxurious Ciel Spa, a modern fitness centre, an outdoor cinema, and dedicated clubs for kids and teens.
The interiors favour theatrical gestures, tactile materials, and witty details that surprise and delight. Brand followers will spot familiar touchpoints, reimagined for the Kingdom. The signature SLS duck takes on a new cultural life through the work of Saudi contemporary artist Heba Ismail, who transforms the mascot into a striking statement piece that bridges the property’s flamboyant spirit with the region’s creative energy.

Dining
Located in the lobby, Deluxe is a cafe and bar open all day. It starts with coffee and pastries, then moves into light meals, cakes, and an evening aperitivo experience, making it an easy spot to visit at any time.
Fi’lia brings its impressive Italian dining experience from Dubai to Shura Island. The menu focuses on homemade dishes like pasta, wood-fired pizza, and classic desserts inspired by family recipes. Drinks include colourful aperitivo-style options, juices, and Italian sodas.
Floating World is inspired by the culture of Edo-era Japan. The menu is designed for sharing, with dishes like miso-glazed black cod, grilled wagyu, and yuzu-based desserts. A central bar serves creative Japanese-style mocktails, teas, and seasonal drinks. The experience ends with a refined tea ritual.

Seabird, a popular London restaurant, brings its seafood-focused menu to SLS The Red Sea. Inspired by Spanish and Portuguese coastal cooking, it offers a mix of classic and new dishes, including seafood, such as oyster and lobster rice. Highlights include the octopus roll and baked salt fish with desserts and drinks to complement.
Finally, The Perch is a poolside beach bar. Enjoy slushies while listening to the DJ, or share sangrias and punches. Light snacks like fruit platters and ice cream, along with house-made iced teas, are also available for you to enjoy at your cabana.

Wellness and Leisure
Recovery is part of the script. Ciel Spa offers six bespoke treatment rooms, an indoor water circuit, and a showstopping outdoor hydro pool, along with beauty stations for women and refined grooming for men. The fitness centre keeps the tempo high with state-of-the-art equipment. After dark, the beachfront becomes a cinema under the stars, and weekends light up with SLS pool parties soundtracked by world-class DJs.
SLS The Red Sea marks the debut of the SLS brand in Saudi Arabia, expanding its footprint in the Middle East. The resort is a short hop from Shura Links, Saudi Arabia’s first island golf course, steps from the yacht marina and high-end shopping, and directly connected to coral reefs and protected marine reserves.
