Singapore’s halal dining scene gets a stylish new addition with the opening of Bagus at Northpoint City.

Bagus is bringing a new flavour to Singapore’s halal dining scene. Opening on 6 May 2026 at Northpoint City in Yishun, the elevated halal food hall in Singapore has been developed by Kopitiam and introduces a fresh lifestyle-led approach to casual dining.

Positioned as the first elevated halal food hall in Singapore, Bagus moves beyond the traditional food court format. Instead, it brings together food, design, culture and community interaction in one contemporary space. With seating for approximately 290 diners, the venue has been created for quick lunches, family meals, after-school bites and longer catch-ups with friends.

The design plays a central role in the Bagus experience. Warm interiors, textured finishes and Malay cultural references help shape the atmosphere, while a colour-shifting LED lantern installation adds a striking visual element. At the heart of the space is Ulam-ulaman, a central art installation by local artist Hafizah, which brings a stronger sense of place and storytelling to the dining hall.

Food remains the main attraction, and Bagus will be home to more than a dozen halal-certified stalls. The mix has been designed to offer variety, giving diners a broad choice of cuisines under one roof. Stalls include The Kiosk, Beridik Western, Monster Chilli Mala Xiang Guo, Telur Thai, Pho Viet, Ahjuma Korean-Japanese Cuisine, Seabay Delight Mini Wok, Jiak Pa Pa Ban Main, ANI Yong Tau Foo, Tang Tea House, Sedap Kitchen, Krispi Beef Roti, Cha Mu Lan X and Makan West Hot.

From Thai flavours and Vietnamese favourites to Korean-Japanese dishes, mini wok meals, yong tau foo and local comfort food, Bagus aims to serve the everyday needs of diners while offering enough choice to encourage repeat visits. It is a welcome addition for residents in the north of Singapore, particularly those looking for halal options in a more considered setting.

Community is also a key part of this new halal food hall in Singapore. Through Bagus Beats, visitors can submit songs to be played in the food hall, adding a more personal soundtrack to the space. Bagus Stories invites guests to share photos and videos from their visit, with selected moments featured in a community-style display.

With its focus on halal dining, cultural details and digital interaction, Bagus signals a shift in how food halls are being imagined in Singapore. It transforms a simple meal stop into a social space where people can gather, relax and connect.
