Racing fans, mark your calendars as Mina Zayed once again transforms into the ultimate festival of sport and culture for the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix 2025 Season Grand Final, presented by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, on 29 and 30 November.
It all comes down to this. The Grand Final is the culmination of SailGP’s 12-event 2025 Season where, after one last series of fleet races between 12 national teams, only three will race for the coveted Rolex SailGP Championship trophy, and the sport’s top prize of AED 11 million ($2 million). Abu Dhabi joins an elite list of international cities to host SailGP, including Dubai, Auckland, Sydney, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York.
Fans can enjoy the fastest racing on water – where identical F50 catamarans fly at speeds reaching 100 km/h – from SailGP’s Race Stadium, purpose-built at Mina Zayed. The action-packed weekend will feature between five to seven fleet races lasting approximately 15 minutes each, before the top three in the overall standings battle in one more, fateful race for the title. Mathematically, only four teams can make it to this three-boat shootout: Emirates GBR, the Black Foils, the BONDS Flying Roos, and Los Gallos.
Will there be entertainment?
On Saturday, 29 November, Olly Murs will take the stage at the SailGP Race Stadium for Après-Sail presented by Mastercard. The globally recognised, platinum-selling pop sensation has had several hits, including “Dance With Me Tonight” and “Troublemaker”. Now, he’s bringing those same favourites to Abu Dhabi.
On Sunday, 30 November, the excitement continues with popular TV personality and DJ Mark Wright taking to the stage. He’s predicting that entertaining fans in Abu Dhabi is ‘going to be epic’.
