The reggaeton singer joins Armin Van Buuren, Martin Garrix and Steve Aoki in the star-studded lineup.

Dubai, get ready to party. Untold 2025 is back and bringing the biggest names in music to Dubai. The world-famous DJs Armin Van Buuren, Martin Garrix, and Steve Aoki were announced as the first acts. And now, the latest big artist to join the party is none other than J Balvin. Tickets are available now, and here’s what you need to know. 

The Colombian reggaeton singer and songwriter, whose real name is José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, has become a global sensation in the world of Latin music. Balvin’s music career began in the early 2000s. However, it was his breakthrough single “6 AM” in collaboration with fellow Colombian artist Farruko, that catapulted him to international stardom in 2013. Since then, he has released numerous hit songs and albums, including “Mi Gente” and “I Like It,” a collaboration with rapper Cardi B.

J Balvin has stayed busy, dropping the Usher and DJ Khaled collab “Dientes,” releasing his sixth album Rayo in 2024, and rolling out the 2025 project Mixteip featuring Stormzy, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Justin Quiles and Lenny Tavárez. He headlined Coachella 2024 with a UFO-themed set and a surprise “Men in Black” moment with Will Smith, then hit the road for the Back to the Rayo North America Tour in 2025.

J Balvin has worked with everyone from Beyoncé and Bad Bunny to D Khaled and Maluma. He has received numerous awards and accolades, including Latin Grammys and Billboard Music Awards, and he’s recognised as a trailblazer in the Latin music industry. 

The announcement was made on the Untold Festival Instagram account with the caption: “he sound you’ve been waiting for is finally here. From Medellín to Dubai, feel the Latin heat as @jbalvin brings his sound to UNTOLD for the very first time.” J Balvin is no stranger to the region. He performed in Saudi Arabia for Jeddah Season 2022, MDLBeast 2023 in Riyadh, at the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar, and at Abu Dhabi Showdown Week back in 2019.

This is the second edition of the Untold festival. Untold Dubai 2024 was an absolute spectacle. Over 100 artists from around the globe graced the stage at Expo City Dubai, delivering electrifying performances that kept the crowd going until the wee hours of the morning. From Tiesto to Hardwell, Ellie Goulding to Major Lazer, the lineup was stacked with talent, ensuring there wasn’t a dull moment in sight.

Untold burst onto the scene in Romania in 2015 and has since captivated audiences across Europe and the Middle East. While more details regarding Untold Dubai 2025 – such as the other major acts – are still under wraps, you can expect magic to unfold once again.
