The cult Japanese Hamburg concept brings halal Wagyu and custom grills to Al Quoz.
Japanese chefs are known for their commitment to mastering every dish they serve. That same unwavering dedication comes to life in Dubai with the launch of a new restaurant, Hikiniku To Come, which will open its first GCC location at CMPLX in Al Quoz in September 2026.
Brought to the UAE by FYTE Hospitality, the same team behind the FACT award-winning handroll bar Kokoro, Hikiniku To Come carries the tagline: “Just Ground, Just Grilled, Just Cooked. It’s Hikiniku To Come.” A teaser video on Instagram features a glimpse into the kitchen, sizzling grills, and scenes from the streets of Tokyo. The caption reads: “The most talked-about dining ritual in Tokyo is finally coming to Dubai. Three patties. One bowl. A moment the city’s been waiting for.”
For those who struggle with food indecision, this concept keeps things simple. Neither a burger nor a traditional steak, the signature dish sees fresh beef ground every morning, grilled over charcoal in front of you, and served atop steamed rice in a traditional hagama pot. The concept aims to turn meat and rice into an art form.
The Dubai restaurant will sit inside CMPLX, the upcoming Al Quoz development that continues the neighbourhood’s evolution into a creative and culinary hub. The venue will remain faithful to the brand’s Japanese roots while offering an elevated interpretation of the original experience. FYTE Hospitality has also confirmed that the Dubai outpost will be one of the most premium Hikiniku To Come restaurants in the world. The menu will feature 100 per cent halal-certified Wagyu beef, sourced and prepared to meet the brand’s international standards while aligning with the GCC market.

Guests will be served freshly ground Wagyu Hamburg patties in a carefully paced sequence, designed to highlight the quality of the meat and the accuracy of the cooking process. Custom-built grills, considered interiors and premium finishes will all form part of the Dubai experience.
If you can’t wait to visit Hikiniku To Come, then visit Kokoro at Alserkal Avenue or in Nad Al Sheba, which is Dubai’s first hand-roll bar. The menu highlights sushi and handrolls, combining contemporary flavours with classic Japanese techniques. Note: seating is first-come, first-served, and reservations are not accepted.
