Nineties kids, it’s time to don the double denim – we’re not judging. The 90s by RBO is coming back to Sharjah, and brings the music, movies and moments from the decade to the emirate. Running from 12 February to 1 March, it will take place at Sharjah Research and Technology Park and here’s what to expect.
The 90s by RBO is a family-friendly event that draws inspiration from the 90s and features fun zones covering fashion, food, music, and entertainment.
The immersive experience includes memorabilia from the period and makes you feel like you are stepping back in time. Expect a gaming spot with old-school arcade games from the period – a Game Boy and a PlayStation, anyone? Look out for VHS tapes, flip phones, scrunchies, and more.
You can catch some of your favourite movies at the outdoor cinema, such as Home Alone, episodes of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and much more. You can also enjoy different food concepts, walk through a wall of memories, and everything else that is purely the 90s. After all, it was the best decade before the millennium took over.
While details of what kind of foodie spots will be on the agenda have not been confirmed, you can expect to enjoy diners with burgers and milkshakes, a jukebox playing the famous 90s hits, and much more.
If you’re a millennial who grew up loving the 90s and are still obsessed with it, this is one event you don’t want to miss. So get into your best pair of jeans, with basic tees and funky socks, and head to Sharjah now. We’ll see you there.
