Get your calendars out – exhilarating adventures, brunch and culture await.
It’s a new year, which means it’s a chance to try new things. Dubai is filled with concerts, new dining destinations, and plenty of entertainment options. Here are the best things to do in Dubai this week.
Monday 26 January
Check out the restaurants at 25 Jump Street
25 Jump Street has opened behind 25hours Hotel One Central, bringing dining, mixology and culture to one walkable strip. Created by 7 Management, the new hub spans multiple concepts, from Antika’s theatrical Lebanese nights and Cinema Akil’s indie screenings to Em Sherif Deli’s mezze, shawarma and mouneh corner. Expect tacos and DJs at Esco-Bar, viral smashed patties at Junk Burger, cocktails at Lady Bird, and laughs at Kris Fade’s Pepperoni Comedy Club, with year-round programming promised from day to night.

Tuesday 27 January
Catch a Reel Palestine screening
Cinema Akil marks the 12th anniversary of Reel Palestine with a 10-day festival running until 1 February 2026, spotlighting Palestinian stories across 29 screenings of features, documentaries and shorts. The programme is paired with Q&As, workshops and community events. On 27 January, a series of short films will screen alongside The Voice of Hind Rajab. Directed by Kaouther Ben Hania, the film blends documentary urgency with dramatised reconstruction, tracing the final hours of Hind Rajab, a young girl trapped in a car under fire in Gaza as rescuers race to reach her. Built around recorded calls, it turns a real voice into the spine of the story, and a stark reminder of what gets lost in headlines.

See Jason Momoa perform with Öof Tatata
Hollywood actor Jason Momoa is returning to Dubai, this time not for a film premiere or brand launch, but to perform live with his band, Öof Tatata. Taking place at The Agenda in Dubai Media City on 28 January, the show forms part of the debut Meili Festival, backed by the actor’s Meili Vodka brand. So, who is Öof Tatata? The group features Momoa on bass, alongside Mike Hayes on vocals and guitar and Kenny Dale on drums. While Momoa needs no introduction thanks to blockbuster roles in Aquaman and Game of Thrones, this performance marks his first time bringing his band to the region, offering Dubai audiences a new side of the multi-hyphenate star.
